Postings at a Child Care Facility

All-the-Time Postings:

  • Annual California State and Federal Labor Law Poster (Typically this is a consolidated ‘all-in-one’ poster that is displayed prominently in an area where employees can easily see it)

  • Child Care Facility License

  • Personal Rights form (LIC 613A)

  • Menus (Posted and update as changes occur)

  • Child passenger restraint system poster (PUB 269) completed with local health department phone number

  • Daily activity schedule (Should match what actually happens in the classroom)

  • Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610) + attached Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148)

  • Facility Sketch (LIC 999) (keep posted or near the Emergency Disaster Plan)

  • Parent’s Rights Poster (PUB 393) Note: This poster includes reference to meganslaw.ca.gov, which is a required posting as indicated in the Funding Terms and Conditions

  • Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213)

  • CACFP Participants must post the USDA “And Justice for All” civil rights poster

Common Add-On/As Needed Postings:

  • Any licensing report documenting a “Type A” citation must be posted for 30 days

  • Any licensing report or other document verifying compliance or non-compliance with the Department’s order to correct a “Type A” deficiency must be posted for 30 days

  • All licensed Child Care Centers (not applicable to homes) that were constructed before January 1, 2010, are required to test their water for lead every five years and post results on the State Water Resources Control Board's website. 

  • Pest Control warning signs must be posted for 24 hours before a pesticide application and left up for 72 hours after (Calif Department of Pesticide Regulation Warning Sign Template)

  • Diapering Procedure Poster (CDC.gov Sample Poster)

  • Family Communication Board: Notices, reminders, and community resources are often posted for parents.
