Introduction | Requirement
According to Assembly Bill 1207, a licensee, administrator, or employee of a licensed child care facility (child care centers & family child care homes) must complete the Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days from start of employment AND every 2 years following the date from which the first training was completed.
The Mandated Reporter Training will give you the tools to support children and families, and teach you about your legal duties as a mandated reporter.
Training Information
Training must be completed through an external source located at caearlychildhoodonline.org. The Infant/Toddler training modules will take 5 hours to complete, and the Preschool training modules will will take 9 hours to complete. Trainings include the following Modules:
INFANT/TODDLER Foundations & Frameworks:
Module 1: Social-Emotional Development (2 hours)
Module 2: Language Development (1 hour)
Module 3: Cognitive Development (1 hour)
Module 4: Perceptual & Motor Development (1 hour)
PRESCHOOL Foundations & Frameworks:
Module 1: Social-Emotional Development (1 hour)
Module 2: Language and Literacy (2 hours)
Module 3: English-Language Development (1 hour)
Module 4: Mathematics (1 hour)
Module 5: Visual and Performing Arts (1 hour)
Module 6: Physical Development (1 hour)
Module 7: Health (1 hour)
Module 8: History–Social Science (1 hour)
Module 9: Science (1 hour)
Module 10: Summary Module (1 hour)
